| Short Description of Instrument |
The Vineland-II, Socialization Scale is a domain within the Vineland-II test which assess a subject/participants personal and social skills from birth to adulthood. The Socialization Scale has three subdomains: Interpersonal Relationships, Play and Leisure Time, and Coping Skills.
To determine the level of an individual's adaptive behavior a parent or caregiver is asked to describe the subject/participant's activities. Those activities are then compared to those of people with the same age in order to see whether the participant is average, above average, or in need of special help.

Domains and Adaptive Behavior Composite—Standard scores (M = 100, SD = 15), percentile ranks, adaptive levels. Subdomain—V-scale score (M = 15, SD = 3), Adaptive levels, age equivalents. On Survey Interview and Expanded Interview Form only—V- scale scores, maladaptive levels for the optional Maladaptive Behavior Index. ASSIST™ software or Manual Scoring |
