Short Description of Instrument

The Children's Motivation Scale (CMS) is a sixteen-item scale that can be used to evaluate the level of motivation in children and adolescents ages 6 to 16.

Scoring

Sixteen items are answered on a five-level (0 to 4) scale for a total possible score ranging from 0 to 64. Lower scores indicate more apathy.
